Departmental Overview

The Department of Agricultural Engineering and Technology is serving the university in conveying knowledge of Agricultural Engineering and Food Science and Technology to the students of faculty of agricultural sciences for accomplishing sustainable water, food, energy, and environment. The department is providing professional services relating to engineering in various development projects inside the university campuses. Its vision is to produce food scientists and agricultural engineers with sound professional expertise and scientific problem solutions techniques in agriculture along with food processing, storage and transportation for development of the nation.

The aim of the department is to train the graduates with excellent knowledge and skills needed to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDG) of country. Department of Agricultural Engineering and Technology aims to pursue excellence in agriculture through teaching the courses of prime importance for students of Agriculture majoring in different subjects.

Mission

Mission of the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Technology is to contribute in the development of local, national and international communities through the application of efficient engineering and scientific techniques. The department aims to produce engineering graduates in the fields of agriculture, energy and environment for the nation and world. Our mission is to extend the department steadily offering different undergraduate and post graduate degree programs of Food science and technology also under the umbrella of this department
