Ahmed is currently working as an Associate Professor of Finance at the Department of Business Administration, Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan. Prior to join Ghazi University, Ahmed has worked as an Assistant Professor & Head of Finance Cluster at the University Institute of Management Sciences -PMAS- Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan for the last nine years. Ahmed has over a decade of teaching experience. Ahmed is supervising Master and PhD students and he is Higher Education Commission (HEC) PhD approved supervisor. His research interests are focused on broader aspects of Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Energy Finance, Sustainable Finance, Financial Risk Management, Quantitative Techniques and Portfolio Management. Ahmed has published a number of research papers in prestigious journals like Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Finance Research Letters, Journal of Environmental Management, International Review of Financial Analysis, Economic Modeling, Research in International Business & Finance, Quarterly Review of Economics & Finance, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Sustainability etc. After his graduation in Mathematics and Economics at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan in 2006, Ahmed earned his MBA, MS & PhD (Finance) from Iqra University, Islamabad in 2008, 2010 and 2015 respectively. Besides of this, he has done MSc. Economics from Allama Iqba Open University. Furthermore, Ahmed has completed Post-Doc in 2018 at The University of Waikato, New Zealand. Ahmed has supervised six PhDs and over fifty MS/MPhil scholars to the successful culmination of their degrees. Ahmed is serving as a Senior Editor/Associate Editor of several refereed journals i.e. International Journal of Emerging Markets, Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment, Heliyon, Journal of Economics & Administrative Sciences. Ahmed is reviewer of thirty plus refereed journals. He is also associated with different National and International Research Societies. Based on his scholarly contribution, he won the “Outstanding Reviewer Award-2021” by Emerald Literati. Furthermore, he won the “Best University Teacher Award-2020”. Ahmed has also won the Thematic Research Grant-2017 having the worth of Rs. 4.0/- million by HEC Pakistan. Ahmed has also received a scholarship for his Post-Doctoral Research from Punjab Higher Commission (PHEC) Pakistan in 2017. He is also associated with different National and International Research Societies. Ahmed’s research orientation, and sound analytical skills have been further strengthening by his ability in Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS), AMOS, Eviews, Stata, and Smart-PLS.
