Introduction

The best way to conquer over the poverty is to educate the young blood beyond intermediate. Nonetheless, ingress to higher education is itself administered very pricey. As a result, only 0.4% of the children from the lowest income quintile (from the relevant age cohort) are enrolled in higher education institutions, which is far below the national average of 10%. Directorate of Financial Assistance & Development aim to overcome the distress through economic support.

The Directorate of Financial Assistance and Development (FAD) is an indispensable and integral part of Ghazi University. The fundamental purpose of the directorate is to accommodate through financial aid programs for make education possible for deserving students who might otherwise be deprived of this higher education opportunity due to inadequate resources and /or previous finite educational opportunities.

To come up with the most effective, munificent and generous monetary services to indigent and financially constrained students so that the youth of the area can grow academically, intellectually and literally in the domain of their personal scholastic.

Mission

To Furnishing financial services to deserving students in order to facilitate them to achieve their educational goals. This service is joint venture between students and the financial aid office which works on the Objective that financial constraints should not be a barrier to quality education. The Students’ Financial Aid Office is primarily responsible for providing all information, services, and assembling financial resources that are available to and/or needed by students who are attending Ghazi University in order to obtain an undergraduate or graduate degree. Financial aid resources are those that are provided by both internal (university and/or endowment funds), governmental (PEEF, Professional Education Internal Merit and District Merit Scholarship) and private agencies or organizations.

Goals

Establish essential manual and automated processes to support awarding financial aid in a timely manner.
Award financial assistance to qualified students, according to institutional and Govt requirements and with a focus on individual student needs.
Establish regular communication flow between the Directorate of Financial Assistance & Development and the students/parents.
Provide individual student/parent assistance in completing necessary applications and managing personal resources as they are needed to augment financial assistance in covering educational expenses.
