Yasir Farooq is currently working as a Lecturer of Islamic Studies, at Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. in Islamic studies with a major in Hadith Studies in Subcontinent, from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. His main areas of Research are; Principles & Sciences of the Hadith, Socio-Religious & Socioeconomic Problems, and religiopolitical approaches. He published more than two dozen Research Papers in Well reputed/HEC Recognized Journals and also participated in prominent International and National Conferences. Previously, he worked at The Islamiyah University of Bahawalpur (Bahawalnagar Campus), Riphah International University, (Faisalabad Campus), and Government Municipal Graduate College (Faisalabad). He has also supervised two dozen M.Phil. Scholars. He also worked as Associate Editor of Research Journal IQAN. In addition, he is also working as Associate Editor of the Al-Āfāq Islamic Research Journal, a publication of the Department of Islamic Studies, Ghazi University.
